The scaffold builder course covers the theoretical requirements for scaffolders, according to the regulations on performance of work § 17-4. The course has previously been called § 46C and § 13 courses.
The course is for those who will install scaffolding at all heights (also over 9 m) and / or who will not follow the standard scaffolding.

The scaffolding builder course is a 36-hour course in accordance with the Working Environment Act and the relevant regulations. During the online course, you will gain an insight into all relevant laws and regulations. You will also get an overview of the different types of scaffolding and their properties. Including mobile scaffolds, system scaffolds, suspended scaffolds, tube and coupler scaffolds, wooden scaffolds and trestle scaffolds.
The online course takes you through the phases in the assembly of the various scaffolding. The course also explains the precautions that must be taken both before starting the installation, during installation, during use of the scaffolding and during disassembly of the scaffolding. You will be presented with calculation methods for setting up scaffolding. It is this part of the online course that makes the scaffolding fitter course different from the scaffolding course 2-5 meters and the scaffolding course 2-9 meters. As with all our courses, you will finally get a review of first aid and how to act in emergency situations.
The online course consists of pictures, audio, video and assignments along the way. There will be a final exam that you must pass to pass the course. Upon completion of the course, a course certificate is issued.
In order to obtain a scaffolding certificate, you must also document the following:
- At least 72 hours of practical training in the use of scaffolding (at least 3 different types)
- Employment for at least 6 months in a company that uses scaffolding.
