This is an information course from Asbestos. The course is an introduction for people who want to learn more about asbestos and the dangers associated with the material, and satisfies the requirements for documented competence in relation to section 3-2 of the Working Environment Act. The course only provides training in identification, and is not a full-fledged asbestos remediation course.
The course teaches you about asbestos, the history and dangers associated with the material, where we find asbestos and how to identify asbestos-containing products. You learn about the laws and regulations that apply to asbestos, as well as the requirements placed on both employee and employer. The course gives you the knowledge required to know about the dangers of asbestos, so that you can avoid both accidents and the dangers that asbestos entails.
